My Feelings

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this show. I absolutely loved it! Right from episode one, I was completely into it, 100%! The best thing about this show is the fact that it is so REAL! No ridiculous plot schemes (well, maybe one) but this show was completely relatable. You can see yourself in one or all of the characters as they are dealing with everyday issues that most of us go through at some point in our lives, like working at a job you hate, realizing that best friend is more than a friend to you, realizing a relationship isn't what you thought it was, growing into adulthood and understanding the changes and sacrifices that come with it. In the midst of it all, this show was funny and sad and touching and romantic, it was real life in all its messy awesomeness. The one issue I had was the fact that the writes felt the need to add in the token plot twist that K Drama's can't seem to do without, although, in their defense, they didn't go overboard with it and they didn't focus on it too much. The actors were great as well, All 4 lead actors and even the other cast, they all played their roles to perfection. The script was also very well done, I laughed out loud so many times, I found myself rewinding and re watching some scenes, either because they were so funny or because they were so sweet an romantic. The chemistry between the leads was just on fire, all their embraces and kisses...and more, completely made my heart melt.

Park Seo Joon...Seo Joon...Seo Joona *insert swoon here* I watched this show because I fell in love with him in Hwarang, and I didn't think it was possible, but I am even more in love with him after this show. Not just because he is handsome (he is) or his smile (it's beautiful), I think it's the way he draws you in, you almost feel invested in his feelings or like you're the one he's falling in love with, you feel his pain and his joy and you want to give him a hug when he's sad (or you want to be hugged by him - have you seen him????). I mean, my love for Kim Soo Hyun is still number one but Park Seo Joon has officially pushed Lee Min Ho to 3rd place...(I need to go update my introduction).

Conclusion

In case you didn't catch it I absolutely LOVED this show. The characters were everyday people living everyday lives, no Chaebol and a poor little princess, or a complicated web of lies or some weird serial killer, just your average girl with a longtime crush on her best friend, and a sweet but strong woman who does what is necessary when her long term relationship goes sideways. If you want a break from the typical K Drama or you are new to K Drama's and are looking for where to begin, or you're just looking for some eye candy (Seo Joon takes off his shirt...a lot), do yourself a solid and watch this show.
