Plot *minor spoilers ahead*

This drama is about No Ji Wook (played by Ji Chang Wook) who risks and loses his job as prosecutor, a position he was so proud of and worked so hard at, to save his intern Eun Bong Hee (played by Nam Ji Hyun) when she is accused of murder. He goes on to start a law firm and hires Bong Hee as no one else wanted to hire an ex convict as a lawyer. They decide to work on finding the real murderer and discover that there is a serial killer on the loose. Along the way, his ex girlfriend replaces him as prosecutor with the intention of rekindling their romance. Obviously, Ji Wook was having none of it as he was already falling for Bong Hee. Along the line, both and he and Bong Hee discover that they have a shared past that could destroy their budding relationship.

My Feelings

This drama was an interesting one. A little different than most and pulled off very nicely, mostly thanks to the skills of the actors, even Kim Hyeong Gyoo was completely convincing as the bad guy. The first show I saw Ji Chang Wook in was Empress Ki and I did not like his character one bit. I almost didn't watch this show because of that, but I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. He's actually a really good actor and really pleasing to my eyes 😍. As most dramas do, it does drag on for a bit but eventually picks up again, so don't give up if you're finding it hard to push through. The chemistry between Chang Wook and Ji Hyun is pretty good, their romance felt so sweet and natural, in fact, one of their kisses caused quite a stir when it originally aired. I loved it! I'm a little sick of the boring lip locks you see in a lot of Korean shows and thankfully and there is none of that here. Ji Hyun gives as much as she gets both in the romance department and in every other sense. Even when she was in a really bad spot, the strength of her character came through, no sad, poor lady here. As for the secondary characters, I totally fell in crush with Choi Tae Joon and although I initially find it hard to like Kwon Nara's character, as she is trying to just pick things up with Ji Wook again as if nothing happened (something did..well sort of), I like that she didn't go overboard being a witch with a B to Bong Hee, which we see way too often in other shows. All in all a very enjoyable show and I would recommend it.

Conclusion

Love in trouble is a very interesting show if you're looking for something with a little more depth than your typical romcom. All the actors were superb and there were some very funny scenes. There were some times where it dragged on but don't give up and watch till the end and you won't regret it. Here's a little cuteness to end the post.
