Plot *minor spoilers ahead*

This story is about a goblin who was cursed to be immortal, and having lived nearly a thousand years is looking for a way to die. Legend has it that only "the bride of the goblin" can kill the goblin, so he finds his bride, but before he can get her to kill him, he begins to fall in love with her. The second lead story is about a grim reaper who cannot remember his past life but begins to get flashes of it when he meets a beautiful woman called Sunny, unfortunately, his memories aren't good ones. The goblin and grim reaper end up becoming roommates and develop a close friendship.

My Feelings

I did not like this show. I am sorry but I could not get over the fact that the main female lead was in high school, she was 18 going on 19 but the main lead is in his 30's (he's actually over 900 years old but let's go by the age he pretends to be)!!! No matter how I tried to over look that, I couldn't get past it. I mean the age gap on it's own is not the issue, it's the fact that she was that young when the romance began AND her character was very annoying and whiny to me, not mature at all, I couldn't buy that someone with the goblin's personality truly fell for her, although the show did a good job of trying to sell that. For that reason alone, it didn't work out for me. Once you get past that however, Goblin is a show filled with BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. I mean, hello Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook and Yook Sung Jae all in one show! Not only was the cast beautiful, but so was the scenery and the graphics, everything about this show was visually stunning. Even the plot was good (ignoring the few plot holes here and there), there was enough character development for the second leads that it wasn't just about the two main leads. Oh! don't get me started on the bromance, to be honest, I was more interested in the goblin and the reaper's friendship than I was in the goblins romance. They are hilarious together and such a pleasure to watch, pleasing to my eyes and to my heart.

Conclusion

This show was one of the top rated tv shows of 2017 and with good reason, great plot, great actors, beautiful visuals. I however could not get past the main leads age difference and thus did not enjoy watching this drama as much as I could have. If that doesn't sound like something that would bother you, then go right ahead, you're in for a treat. Personally, this gif of Lee Dong Wook is how I felt about that plot line.
